Al Fatehah to the family of Saudara Azhar Osman, the Press Secretary to Pak Lah who had just passed away.
Allayarham was one of our News Producer/Editors in TV3, before joining the "Corridors of Power" of Putrajaya. We had had numerous teh tariks by the stalls of Jalan Liku, Bangsar. Not to mention those late nights waiting for the 11.30 PM news... And waiting for TV3's shuttle to ferry us home after the late news...
Read about it here.

The Nation Weeps Again...
My heart goes out to those whose loved ones are taken away from them. But more so when the children aren't of their own blood... Children who, although unrelated to them, choose to see their vision, their wisdom...
Heck, when more than a million people say they don't like you, why do you force yourself upon them? Isn't that called RAPE? Removing someone they love and like instead of you, will make them go on the rebound and shift their otherwise empty hearts, to you?
I wonder. I join the thousands (if not millions) in grieving today. Like the Allayarham Pak JM Aziz said, "penyu menangis, siapalah tahu?"...

I Wept...
I cried reading this. Anyone with a heart would, too. Al-fatehah, my child... I guess this is what "Tears In Heaven" means...

The Bahasa - Where Does RTM stand?
Let's learn some Bahasa...
The spelling? R-E-B-A-T. The pronunciation? There were two in the clip above. So, which is the correct one?
This is the problem when you borrow (steal?) an English word, change it to a Malay spelling to maintain it sounding like the original English word, and then, from the new Malay spelling, pronounce it the baku way. Ta-da! Bastardized English word they now call a Malay word!
It doesn't have to be so, but that's how uninformed we are! You either change the spelling, or you change the pronunciation. You just don't change both!
I hope Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek will get RTM to standardize its Bahasa Melayu/Malaysia... Just for the records, below is a clip of what the former Info Minister (remember ZAM MAIDIN?) said about RTM's obligation in using the national language:
Of particular interest from the clip above: "Datuk Seri Zainudin turut menjelaskan bahawa RTM tidak terikat untuk memakai* semua istilah Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka yang kadang kala mengelirukan dan menyusahkan orang ramai." * menggunakan would be a better word!
So, Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek, before RTM confuses its viewers, how about standardizing its Bahasa? Many may not bother watching RTM, but there are still rural folks who depend on RTM to learn a few, new (bastardized, concocted, borrowed) Malay words... (yes, I do watch more of RTM than ANY Astro channels!)
If RTM does not uphold the national language, do you expect the swasta (private) channels to do it? TV3 has been doing a good job, but com'on.... RTM and DBP share the same dad - they must be agreeable to one common language!

ACA, Want To Investigate DBKL???
I can't believe DBKL can get so phucking arrogant! Read this article.
And I quote one particular line: "City Hall, on its part, maintains that it does not need a Certificate of Fitness for Occupation (CF) for buildings it constructs (a CF would also have to include fire department approval)."
Seriously, does DBKL know better than Bomba? The building plan was rejected, and yet they went ahead to build it. Arrogance, no? And these are the same people going around their constituency, issuing summons for non-compliance of building regulations and such???

Of PDRM, Anwar,C4... Malaysian Politix!
NAUSEATING. That's how I feel about the current local political scene. Regretfully, old age also means I have seen enough to compare, complain, and contemplate about... Dang!
How many of us remember SHARLINIE the missing girl? I said remember, not care about...
OK, prime witness-cum-bean-spiller Balasubramaniam has gone into hiding or missing. The best joke of this issue must be this article; and I quote one line in particular: ""Jika dia (Bala) bimbang dengan keselamatannya, pihak polis sedia memberi perlindungan kepadanya." Duhhh! (and I was banging my head repeatedly against the wall when I typed that!)... Errr, maybe, he was afraid of the police? *wink* Just a hypothesis...
And I quote the news report again:""Kita telah memaklumkan kepada polis antarabangsa (Interpol) mengenai kehilangan ini selain meminta pasukan keselamatan di sempadan berjaga-jaga," ujarnya."
Berjaga-jaga? Trying to stop the man from leaving the country? Doesn't that sound like he's now a fugitive? SICK! I don't get this: This man, old enough to fend for his wife, children and self, is more important than a small, defenseless missing girl? Did PDRM act in such urgency when Sharlinie went missing?
Liwat - The Movie already has a sequel. With Bala missing, will we see a sequel for C4 - The Bomb Ultimatum? Then again, shooting could be in progress, and kept under wraps... Very, very Hollywood!
OK, excuse me... Need to go to the jamban to puke...
